The Lutheran Women's Missionary League has "reformed" at St. John's.  Because we have been so richly blessed and there are many in need, we feel we can be a blessing to others.  We hope you will join us in our mission.

LWML mission statement:
The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

Projects of Interest:

• Prayer Shawl Ministry - anyone interested in knitting or crocheting is welcome to join.  Workshops will be announced.  Pam Strausbaugh is the person to see for more information.
• Easter Basket Ministry: We will be gathering donated items from the congregation to include in making Easter Baskets for our homebound members of the church. Look for the box in the Narthex.
• Secret Sister Ministry: Any lady of the church 16 and over can participate by filling out an information card and placing it in the Secret Sister Box in the Narthex. Each participant will draw a name of someone who will become her "Secret Sister' for the next year. We will support each other with our prayers and encouragement through cards and notes. No purchased gifts please. In the end each person will have two new "Secret Sisters", one she ministers to, and one who ministers to her. Neat!

Coming Events:

March 16-17 Ladies Retreat at the Virdin Center in Lewes sponsored by Christ Lutheran in Seaford. It is open to all ladies of the church, not just LWML. Cost $125 : includes all meals, snacks lodging and materials. Call Sandy Nickerson for more information at 735-9635.
April 21 Zone Rally from 10-2:30 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Salisbury. Cost $8.00 includes lunch.

April 28 Special Brunch 9:30-11:30 Fun, Fellowship, "Fashion" Show, Sharing Time. Special guest: Dottie Kringel. Sign up sheet will be available for reservations. No cost.

September 21-23 The Bi-annual Chesapeake District Convention will be held in Timonium, MD. Our zone, Del-Mar-Va, will be the hosts. Our society at St. John's will be working with the ladies of Christ Our Savior,
Rehoboth. We will be doing name tags. More information will be available at the Zone Rally in April.
